Saturday, August 13th, 2016 - Visited the Rome-Floyd County Airport and learned about the Flying Tigers Foundation. The following description is from the Tiger Flight Foundation Page:
Tiger Flight Foundation is based in Rome, Georgia at Richard B. Russell Airport (RMG).
The TigerFlight Foundation’s mission is to inspire youth and adults to become “Pilots in Command” of their own lives. The Foundation is a 501C3 non profit foundation and is accepting tax deductible donations. All donations go toward the children’s motivational and character development program. Major foundation components include TigerFlight Formation Flight Team, TigerFlight Museum, and our Children’s Education and Motivational Program.
Founded in the year 2000 by two Atlanta-area pilots to enjoy the challenge of formation flying and to promote a unique aircraft.
