Amicalola Falls State Park
Saturday, January 30th, 2016 - A 13 mile hike from the bottom of the Falls over towards Springer Mountain and back down the Hike Inn Trail. A very scenic area with multiple trails. This is a popular spot so I recommend going early in the morning. The Amicalola Falls are the main attraction with a 175 step stairway that goes up by it. There is a Hike Inn building in the park that people can reserve to stay overnight (Very popular). The trail that goes to Spring Mountain leads to the start of the Appalachian Trail. Make sure you have all of your supplies before getting to the park!
Dawsonville, Georgia
Saturday, January 30th, 2016 - Was able to get a few shots of Dawsonville on the way back from Amicalola Falls. Dawsonville is known for being the home of Nascar great, Bill Elliott. If you are a fan of Nascar and are in the area, you should really consider going by the Pool Room and checking out the memorabilia on the walls. Also the Pool Room has great food and service - I recommend the Bully Burger or the wings.
